Utility-Scale Solar Electrical Installation
Budget: $20,000 – $50,000 USD
We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) to lead the final phase of a 5MW utility-scale solar farm located on agricultural land in Fountain, Florida. This is a short-term engagement focused on completing the electrical installation and commissioning of the system.
Primary responsibilities include overseeing the installation of DC cabling from the solar panels to string inverters, as well as ensuring compliance with all design specifications, electrical codes, and safety standards. The role also includes performing final safety checks and leading the commissioning process to prepare the system for full operational readiness.
In addition to technical oversight, we are seeking a PE who can provide on-site supervision, assist in recruiting and managing a small crew of solar installers, and support procurement coordination for any remaining electrical materials. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with utility-scale PV systems, a deep understanding of Florida electrical code and NEC/NESC standards, and be familiar with grid interconnection and solar farm commissioning procedures.
