Portable Light Tower Design
Budget: ₹2,000 – ₹5,000 INR
We are seeking an experienced Product Designer with strong CAD design capabilities to develop a portable light tower from concept to production-ready design. The ideal candidate should have experience in industrial equipment, trailer mounted systems, structural design, and manufacturable product development.
Scope of Work
- Design a portable light tower assembly, including structural and mechanical components.
- Develop 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings.
- Design mast, lighting mounting arrangements, trailer/chassis integration, outriggers, and equipment housing.
- Ensure design compliance with applicable safety and operational requirements.
- Optimize the design for manufacturability, assembly, transportation, and maintenance.
- Conduct basic structural and mechanical feasibility assessments.
- Incorporate feedback and design revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support prototype development and design validation as required.
Deliverables
- Complete 3D CAD model and assembly.
- Manufacturing drawings with dimensions and tolerances.
- Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Assembly drawings and exploded views.
- Design calculations and supporting documentation (where applicable).
- Files in native CAD format and neutral formats.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in product design using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, CATIA, or equivalent.
- Experience designing industrial equipment, trailers, mobile machinery, or similar products.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal, welded structures, and mechanical assemblies.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Ability to create production-ready engineering documentation.
- Experience with structural design and load considerations is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience designing portable light towers, surveillance trailers, mobile power equipment, generators, or similar products.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and safety requirements.
- Experience supporting prototype fabrication and testing.
