Software Design for NEW Sports Performance Center (Zimbabwe)
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
1. Introduction:
Our Sports Performance & Skills Assessment Center, a charity organization in Zimbabwe, is dedicated to helping street kids by providing them with opportunities to enhance their skills and performance in various sports. We are seeking a skilled and affordable IT developer to create a custom software solution for our Sports Center. The software will assess athletes based on their skills and performance levels against benchmarks from leading sports clubs worldwide. The developed solution should be simple, cost-effective, secure and align with our mission to serve underprivileged youth.
2. Project Overview:
The objective of this project is to develop software that can evaluate the performance of athletes by comparing their data to established benchmarks from top sports clubs. The software will generate side by side evaluation and supporting graphs for each KPI that can be easily interpreted by coaches and players. The system will also integrate AI for personalized training program generation and ensure data security through encryption.
3. Scope of Work:
The software development must include the following features and considerations:
Role Management:
- The system should define roles with different access levels.
- Admin (Owners) will have full access to all system functionalities.
- Coaches and reception staff will have restricted access, only able to view output results.
Data Protection:
- All data must be encrypted to ensure confidentiality and security.
Hosting Requirements:
- The software should be hosted on Microsoft platforms.
- Use a cost-effective hosting service in the UAE (Oracle hosting is not an option!).
Software Specifications:
- Utilize OpenSource software with an API framework.
- Development should be in PHP, considering that security measures will be a priority.
- Integrate AI (e.g., ChatGPT) to automatically generate 3-month training programs for athletes post assessment of their skills and performance levels.
Analytics and Benchmarking:
- Include analytics and benchmarking graphs/tables in the output format.
- Input data such as athletes' demographics should be benchmarked against KPIs from leading sports clubs (Note: an excel database will be provided with the benchmarking data to ensure that we can show the benchmarking analysis in the output).
- Implement a 4 scale rating system (already defined be owner) to visually represent athletes' performance:
Updates:
- Database updates must be manageable at the application level. Owners must be able to upload a new excel database if and when required with new benchmark data!!
4. Deliverables:
- Fully functional software that meets all outlined requirements.
- User documentation
- Regular updates aligned with data changes or enhancements.
5. Submission Requirements:
Interested developers are required to submit the following:
- Examples of previous work or case studies related to sports assessment or similar fields.
- A list of technologies that will be used in the development of the software.
- A maintenance plan including ongoing support after the software is delivered.
- Any additional recommendations or suggestions for the project.
6. Budget and Timeline:
As our center is a charity organization, budget considerations are critical. We are seeking low-cost solutions without compromising quality. The expected timeline for completion is 4 weeks with milestones clearly defined.
7. Evaluation Criteria:
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Relevant experience and expertise in software development, especially in sports or performance assessment.
- Understanding of project requirements and proposed approach.
- Cost-effectiveness and alignment with our budget
