I have an old impulse clock and need a 1 second driver.
2 coils in series, when each coil is energised they pull in a rocking arm which in turn advances the clock mechanism, when polarity is reversed the arm is drawn to the other coil.
A dpdt relay is used presently to feed the coils, voltage of 9v at 80ma is sufficient to start the rocking movement.
A pretty accurate 1 second pulse is required.
