Rocket Motor Test Interface
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I'm in need of a highly capable and intuitive GUI that streamlines the process of testing liquid-fueled motors for our next-generation rockets. This interface must be built for Windows and Mac users, offering a robust set of features that cater specifically to our testing procedures. Software we use is LabVIEW.
**Key Requirements and Skills:**
- Proficient in creating compatible GUIs that can be used on different OS (windows and Mac).
- Experience with real-time data visualization tools.
- Ability to integrate motor control commands into the interface.
- Knowledgeable in implementing test result analysis features.
- Knowledgable to Omrons PLC, and that GUI will receive real-event data from PLC (and datalog should be available so everyone can download a universal file format and read data).
**Functionality Must-Haves:**
- GUI will be set in LabVIEW, so the LabVIEW should be connected to PLC in order to receive data
- **Real-Time Data Visualization:** The GUI must accurately display various parameters (temperature, pressure, fuel flow rate, etc.) of the motor test in real-time.
- **Motor Control Commands:** It should provide an intuitive method for us to start, stop, and modulate the motor during tests directly from the interface.
- **Test Result Analysis:** Post-test, the software should offer comprehensive analysis tools to review the performance of the motor, highlight anomalies, and compare test results over time.
- **Datalogging should be saved in a universal format so everyone can download later and analyze data.
-**The rocket motor will be set up in PLC (from Omron) so PLC will be set in Sysmac Studio.
**Ideal Candidate:**
- You have a strong background in software development, specifically in designing user-friendly interfaces for technical applications.
- Your portfolio includes projects with real-time data visualization.
- You've worked with engineers or in engineering-related projects, preferably in the aerospace sector.
- You're creative, detail-oriented, and are keen on delivering work that's both functional and visually appealing.
We believe this GUI will play a pivotal role in enhancing our motor testing protocols by offering enhanced control, insightful data visualization, and refined analysis capabilities. If you have the skills and the drive to be a part of an innovative project that pushes technological boundaries, we'd love to hear from you.
