Project Overview

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer / Software Tester to thoroughly test our SaaS application to identify bugs, defects, and usability issues. The primary objective is to ensure a seamless user experience and high-quality software by conducting comprehensive UI and functional testing.

This role requires testing without access to the source code or backend. The tester will evaluate the UI, workflows, and overall usability of the application from an end-user perspective.

Scope of Work
The selected freelancer will be responsible for the following testing activities:

✅ Test Planning & Strategy
Create a test plan outlining the testing approach, tools, and methodology.
Define test scenarios that cover all key functionalities of the application.
Develop test cases with step-by-step instructions for execution.

✅ Functional Testing
Verify that all UI elements (buttons, forms, links, navigation, etc.) function as expected.
Test workflow correctness and data validation in input fields.
Identify broken links, layout issues, and functional inconsistencies.

✅ Regression Testing
Ensure that new updates do not break existing functionalities.
Conduct retesting after bug fixes to confirm successful resolution.

✅ User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Evaluate the application from an end-user perspective.
Identify gaps between expected behavior and actual behavior.
Provide recommendations for improving usability.

✅ Usability Testing
Assess user-friendliness, accessibility, and UI consistency.
Identify navigation issues that could affect the user experience.

✅ Performance & Load Testing
Analyze page load times and responsiveness.
Simulate multiple user sessions to test system performance under load.

Deliverables
The freelancer is expected to provide the following:

Test Plan – A document outlining:

Testing methodology
Tools to be used
Scope and coverage of testing
Test Scenarios & Test Cases – Including:

Step-by-step test cases with expected vs. actual results
Edge cases and boundary value tests
Bug Reports – Detailed reports containing:

Steps to reproduce the bug
Screenshots or screen recordings
Severity classification (Critical, Major, Minor)
Expected vs. actual behavior
Final Test Summary Report – A comprehensive report covering:

Overview of test execution
Identified issues and their impact
Suggestions for improvements


Project Timeline
Project duration: Estimated 2 - 4weeks (flexible based on complexity).
Daily or weekly progress updates are required.
