Software Technical Report Writing

Job ID: 40238287

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I need a seasoned technical writer who can turn a set of design notes, log outputs and performance metrics into a clear, well-structured technical report for a Software/IT audience. The material will cover system architecture, component interactions and benchmark results; accuracy and a logically layered explanation are more important to me than marketing polish.

You will be working from source material I provide—architectural diagrams, API specs, interview transcripts with developers and some raw CSV data—so an ability to distill complex information and cross-check for consistency is essential. Familiarity with common tooling such as Markdown, LaTeX or Word (your choice) plus diagram utilities like Draw.io, Visio or PlantUML will make the process smoother.

Deliverables
• A final report (PDF + editable source) that follows an agreed outline, includes figures/tables, and is written in concise, developer-friendly language
• A short changelog so I can track revisions
• Citations and an appendix with raw data references

I will review the first draft section by section, provide consolidated feedback once, and expect the polished version within a week of that. If you have examples of previous Software/IT reports—especially those explaining performance tuning, cloud deployments or API design—feel free to mention them when you bid.
