Windows EXE Code Signing Specialist
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a Windows application software build ready to ship, but it still needs a proper digital signature so end-users see a trusted publisher instead of those unsettling security warnings. I already compile the final .exe; what I need from you is the full code-signing step using Microsoft SignTool (or an equivalent Authenticode-compatible workflow).
Here’s the flow I have in mind. You receive the release-ready executable, apply a valid certificate, timestamp it so the signature survives expiry, and return the signed file along with a quick note on the exact SignTool command line you used. If you prefer to remote in to my build VM, that works too—as long as the finished program verifies cleanly with “signtool verify /pa” and Windows no longer flags it.
Deliverables
• Digitally-signed .exe (Windows, application software)
• Verification screenshot or log confirming the signature and timestamp
• Command snippet or short read-me so I can repeat the process on future builds
Acceptance criteria
– “signtool verify /pa myapp.exe” reports success
– File properties show my publisher name and a valid timestamp
– No SmartScreen “Unknown publisher” prompt on Windows 10/11 default settings
If everything looks good, I’m ready to award quickly and will have additional utilities and even driver components coming up next, so a smooth first run could turn into repeat work. Let’s get this build signed and shipped!
