Sign Windows App with EV
Budget: $100 – $400 USD
I have a Windows desktop application ready for distribution, but it still triggers the dreaded “Unknown Publisher” warning. To remove that friction I want the executable and installer signed with an Extended Validation (EV) Code Signing Certificate so the publisher name shows up immediately as trusted.
I need someone who has already guided developers through the full EV process and can stay with me from start to finish—choosing a reputable CA, completing the strict EV vetting, initializing the hardware token, and finally applying the signature to my build. All work must be done on my own machine so the private key never leaves my possession; I’m happy to screen-share or provide remote access for the signing step.
Acceptance criteria: after signing, the installer must run on a clean Windows system without raising SmartScreen or “Unknown Publisher” prompts, displaying my organization as the verified publisher.
