Mac SEB with Unrestricted Browsing
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
I’m looking for a Mac-only build of Safe Exam Browser that keeps its kiosk shell but removes the web-restriction layer so a user can move freely across any site once the session starts. In short, SEB must stay in control of the desktop, menu bar, and app-switching exactly as usual, yet the in-app browser should no longer filter or block URLs—I want full internet access with standard scrolling, tabbing, and address-bar entry.
No extra safeguards such as custom block lists or activity logging are necessary; the stock SEB security model outside the browser window is fine.
Acceptance criteria
• Signed DMG installer for macOS (latest two major versions)
• Source code or patch set showing the modification
• Quick test script or guide proving that arbitrary sites (e.g., wikipedia.org, youtube.com) open normally while SEB remains in kiosk mode and system shortcuts stay locked out
If you have already worked with the SEB codebase or similar kiosk browsers, this should be a straightforward task. I’m ready to test as soon as you have a build.
