Looking for a binary coding expert

I have a file that is in hex format that i am hoping to have an expert look at. My ultimate goal would be to figure out if we can add some additional code to the existing file. We load this file through a hex loader program on to a mobile computer running Window CE, the problem we are having is that once the file is loaded the screen resolution changes.
