License my golang code

Hello I have a bit of code in golang I would like to license with a DIY free cloud based licensing solution, I am thinking of using firebase as the cloud database to hold all the licensing details:

I am thinking that:
- I will hard code a license into the program
- on starting the software will check cloud for license, if not licensed will display message and stop
- every 5 min the program will check again for license, if not licensed will display message and stop
- I also need a way to prevent running program in mutiple VMs and redistributing

Looking for suggestions as well ,
