C++ Desktop Codebase Port to C#
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a desktop application written in C++. I need the entire project ported to clean, idiomatic C#, keeping every feature and behavioural nuance intact.
You’ll be working directly with the current C++ sources (Visual Studio solution, a few third-party headers, and unit tests). I’d like to see the same test suite compiling and passing under .NET when you are done. Experience in both C++ and C# is essential, and if you have a background in cybersecurity—secure coding practices, threat modelling, static analysis—that will be a real advantage because the application manipulates sensitive data.
When the port is complete I expect:
• A new Visual Studio C# solution that builds without warnings on Windows
• Functional parity confirmed by the existing tests plus any extra cases you add
• Clear, concise comments where platform or language differences forced a design decision
• A short migration report summarising key architectural changes and security considerations
