Custom Windows Logistics Software
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a tailor-made logistics application built specifically for Windows desktops. At its core the system must give me real-time visibility of every shipment, generate invoices automatically as orders move through each stage, and let me extract clear, actionable reports without having to leave the dashboard.
Your brief:
• Architecture & stack: I am open to your recommended framework so long as the final executable installs and runs smoothly on current Windows 10/11 machines and can scale to multiple concurrent users over a LAN.
• Core modules:
– Real-time tracking that displays location and status updates instantly, preferably through an interactive map and colour-coded progress bar.
– Automated invoicing that pulls order data, applies my pricing rules and produces PDF or Excel outputs at the click of a button.
– Reporting & analytics with filters for date, customer, carrier and SKU, plus export to CSV. Charts or visual dashboards are a bonus.
• Data: My existing records sit in Excel sheets for now, so an import routine would save time; however I can migrate to SQL Server or PostgreSQL if that simplifies the design.
• UX: Clean, touch-friendly interface—think warehouse staff with gloves and office staff on dual monitors.
Acceptance criteria will be a compiled installer, source code, schema, short user manual and two weeks of post-handover bug support.
