Introduction:
I am looking for a Power Apps expert (individual or agency) to help me develop a feature-rich, mobile-friendly application suite designed for personal productivity, financial tracking, health management, and document security.
The full scope consists of six independent but logically related modules that can be developed as one integrated app with multiple screens or as individual apps depending on what is most performance-efficient and manageable.
Goal of the Project:
To digitize and automate all aspects of my personal life and finance management using Microsoft Power Platform. This includes:
Managing projects and daily tasks
Tracking income, expenses, investments, and loans
Securely storing passwords and documents
Maintaining health logs (weight, diet, exercise)
Handling subscriptions and financial alerts
The key focus areas are responsiveness (mobile-ready), automation (Power Automate), clean data handling (SharePoint or Dataverse), and user-friendly UI/UX.
What You Will Build (Modules Breakdown):
1. Project Management App
Goal: Manage projects, tasks, deadlines visually and interactively.
Features:
Gantt view (timeline of projects)
Kanban board (drag-and-drop tasks between statuses)
Tabular view (sortable, filterable data grid)
Drilldown capability: Click project → see related tasks → see comments
KPI dashboard (Overdue Tasks, Total Projects, etc.)
Side panel (slide-out) for editing/viewing details
SharePoint Backend: Projects List, Tasks List, Comments List
Automation: None initially, but design to allow future notifications (e.g., task due reminders)
2. Personal Finance Hub
Goal: Record and visualize all personal income, expenses, budgets.
Features:
Home dashboard with charts (Expense vs Budget, Top 5 expenses)
Add expenses via calendar (daily/monthly toggle)
Refund management (partial, full)
EMI tracker (automatically calculate breakdown)
Location capture on each transaction
Optional file upload for receipts
Payment method tracking (Cash, UPI, Credit, etc.)
Key Logic:
Conditional visibility (e.g., EMI fields appear if “Is EMI?” = Yes)
Dynamic charts based on selected time filter
Responsive UI across desktop/mobile
3. Credit & Account Manager App
Goal: Centralize tracking of all financial instruments and obligations.
Features:
Account types: Bank accounts, credit cards, loans, friend/family lending
EMI plans: Auto-calculate EMI, track next due date, paid vs pending
Cash flow analysis: Income vs Expense (charts)
Rewards Tracker (e.g., credit card cashback tracking)
Friend/family ledger: Track money borrowed or lent
Power Automate (Optional):
EMI due reminder
Monthly balance snapshot email
Security Note: Mask credit card numbers (e.g., **** **** **** 3456); do not store CVV
4. Password & Document Vault
Goal: Secure, organized storage of credentials and personal documents.
Password Vault:
Group passwords by site/app
Allow multiple logins per site (e.g., 3 Gmail logins)
Fields: Username, password (hidden by default), tags, last updated
History: Track what changed, when, and by whom
Document Vault:
Upload scanned documents (PDF/image)
Metadata: Category, owner (self, spouse, child), expiry date
Filter/search by category, expiry
Inline preview of documents
Automation: History tracking using Power Automate or SharePoint Change Log list
5. Lifestyle Companion App
Goal: Support day-to-day life activities like tasks, notes, diet, shopping, and fitness.
Features:
Shopping List (categorized by type, status)
To-Do List (due date, recurring, priority)
Notes (linked to tasks or shopping)
Weight tracker (with BMI auto-calculation)
Diet & Water Log (track per meal)
Exercise Tracker (activity, intensity, goal tracking)
Subscription Tracker (e.g., Netflix, Rent, EMI)
Automation: Optional Power Automate for reminders (e.g., weight log, missed subscription)
6. Investment Tracker
Goal: Track performance of FDs, Stocks, Mutual Funds, PF, NPS.
Modules by Type:
Fixed Deposits: Bank, FD No, interest rate, maturity
NPS: PRAN, fund manager, Tier I/II
PF: UAN, employer contribution
Mutual Funds: AMC, units, NAV
Stocks: Buy/sell, ticker symbol, profit/loss calc
Features:
Dashboard: Total Invested vs Current Value, pie chart by type
Alerts: Upcoming maturity
Manual data entry with optional API hooks (future)
Reports: Profit/Loss over time, IRR/CAGR (manual or Power BI)
Deliverables:
Full Canvas App(s) with clean UX for all modules
Backend in SharePoint or Dataverse (you help decide)
Responsive layout for mobile & tablet
Power Automate flows for:
Reminders (e.g., EMI, logs)
Change tracking
Summary emails
Deployment support (I’ll provide environment access)
Documentation:
SharePoint list schema
Navigation map
User instructions (basic)
Technical Expectations:
SharePoint List naming conventions
