Description:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Software Developer to create a custom document editing software with specific formatting and editing constraints. This tool will allow users to edit only certain parts of a document while maintaining a consistent structure and formatting throughout.
Key Features Required:
1. Editable & Non-editable Word Segments:
- Some words in the document should be editable by the user, while others will be fixed (non-editable).
- Editable sections should be clearly identifiable (e.g., highlighted or with a placeholder).
2. Fixed Formatting:
- The document must enforce consistent font style and size throughout.
- The overall format and structure must remain unchangeable regardless of edits.
3. Table Insertion:
- Users should be able to insert tables dynamically in designated areas.
- Inserted tables must match the predefined format (not alter formatting).
4. Export Capabilities:
- The final document must be exportable as both a Microsoft Word (.docx) file and a PDF.
- The formatting should remain intact after export.
5. User Interface:
- The application must be intuitive and user-friendly, resembling the look and feel of a typical Word editor.
- Must support basic navigation and editing features expected from a document editor.
6. Smart Sentence Suggestions:
- The application must suggest English words and sentence completions using auto-suggest or predictive typing (powered by AI or simple NLP rules).
Tech Expectations:
- You are free to choose the appropriate tech stack, but the end software should:
- Run smoothly on Windows (and possibly Mac).
- Have a desktop-based application interface (can be based on Electron, .NET, Java, etc.).
- Possibly use AI-powered text suggestion models (can be lightweight custom models or integration with GPT APIs, depending on feasibility).
Deliverables:
- Fully functional software application (as per above features).
- Export/import functionality for .docx and .pdf.
- Installer package for Windows (or cross-platform versions if applicable).
- Basic user manual or walkthrough (video or document).
