AutoHotKey UI Kiosk Development

Hi there!
We’re looking to hire a developer to create a custom touchscreen interface (kiosk-style) for a Windows 7 computer running BatchLink software by Scale-Tron. BatchLink is part of Scale-Tron’s automation suite for concrete production, providing order entry, dispatching, and reporting for single-plant ready-mix operations. It works in conjunction with their BatchTron controllers to manage batching systems.
Project Goal:
We want to design a clean, user-friendly UI that simplifies system interaction for plant staff while restricting access to the Windows desktop and backend software. This touchscreen interface will act as a controlled front-end for BatchLink, running in full-screen kiosk mode.
UI Requirements:
- Full-screen, kiosk-style interface on startup
- Touchscreen-optimized design with three large buttons:
- START
- STOP
- SETUP
- An on-screen keyboard with only letters, numbers, backspace, and enter
- Pressing START will open a small pop-up for password entry
- If the password is valid, the user can proceed to start the batching silo via BatchLink
- If the password is invalid, an error message from BatchLink will display
- Pressing STOP will end the batch process
- SETUP button opens a hidden maintenance/admin mode where authorized users can exit the kiosk UI and access the full Windows system for configuration or updates
Important Notes:
The new UI must work alongside BatchLink without replacing it. BatchLink will continue to manage customer info, passwords, and batching logic.
The goal is to simplify the interaction layer while maintaining full BatchLink functionality in the background.
