Android 9-17 Build Engineer
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
I need a seasoned build engineer to take our Android 9 through 17 source tree and make sure every version compiles cleanly on Linux. You will audit the current Gradle/CMake tool-chain, validate the resulting binaries, trace and eliminate compiler or linker errors, and create any missing software objects required for a reproducible build.
The whole process must run head-to-toe on a Linux workstation against a vanilla kernel, so familiarity with GCC, Clang, CMake, and niche tools such as QVC is essential. While the primary target is Linux, experience juggling cross-platform compilers for macOS, iOS, or Windows will help you diagnose edge-case symbols that occasionally creep in.
Deliverables
• A one-click script (or documented command set) that produces verified Android 9–17 images/APKs on Linux.
• Build logs showing zero errors and no unexpected warnings.
• Any new or revised software object files committed back to the repo, with brief comments.
• A concise markdown report outlining the fixes applied and how to repeat the build on a fresh Linux machine.
I will provide SSH access to the build server and the current CI configuration the moment we start. If you thrive on untangling complex compile chains and keeping them lean for lightweight Linux deployments, let’s get this working flawlessly.
