Expert Needed for Automated Trading Card Image Capture & Gallery Creation
We are seeking an expert to help us achieve an efficient solution for processing trading card images. The solution can be either:
1. A script or custom application developed specifically for our needs, or
2. A configuration and instructional setup of off-the-shelf applications that we do not currently know how to use to achieve the described functionality.
Project Objective
We need a solution that allows us to:
- Process a directory full of trading card images.
- Automatically generate galleries using each image only once making no changes, alterations, to the cards and not altering appearance in any way OTHER than correcting orientation. Not cutting off or trimming card images in any way.
- Allow customization of gallery layout, specifying the number of rows and columns per gallery (e.g., 5x3, 3x3, etc.). (examples attached)
- Generate multiple galleries when the number of images exceeds the configured row/column structure.
- Output the final galleries in an easy-to-use format.
Project Scope
- Identify and recommend the best approach—either a script/custom application or configuring existing software.
- If using off-the-shelf software, configure it for our use and provide clear, user-friendly instructions.
- If developing a custom solution, deliver a fully functional script or application with minimal ongoing maintenance required.
- Ensure that the solution is intuitive and requires minimal technical expertise for long-term use.
Ideal Candidate
- Expertise in image processing, automation, and video frame extraction.
- Strong knowledge of off-the-shelf software solutions that can accomplish the specified tasks.
- Ability to either develop a script/application or configure and provide instructions for existing software.
- Experience with media processing, batch image handling, and gallery creation tools.
