We are looking to develop a database allowing us to monitor and record information on commercial vessels operating globally in a niche shipping market, but mainly in Northern Europe.
there are about 100 vessels operating in this market and the information on them is available for free from the internet via free vessel tracking sites such as marinetraffic / ais etc.
Once we have a global map with these vessels tracked we then are looking to make another layer into which we can input sales information on vessel features, commercial information and ownership, so a secondary layer linked database with all of the market information on the vessels, owners and customers that can be regularly updated
