Job Description
Kronos Research is a technology and research-driven trading firm. We risk firm capital, trading a broad range of financial instruments and strategies in global markets. We are currently looking for an engineer to focus mainly on building the internal tech stack to expand our trading into the DeFi space.
The Software Engineer, DeFi role will work on researching various blockchains and smart contract projects to come up with ideas on how to improve on-chain execution and our daily trading needs.
Responsibilities
Read and compile solidity from the pools we want to stake/trade with to understand how their API works
Design and write our own smart contract in solidity to support trading securely
Make modifications to GETH or other ETH node software to gain an edge in trading
Work with researchers and software engineers to extend our existing infrastructure to enable algorithmic trading on various DeFi protocols
Build and maintain real-time monitoring tools for both internal trading activity and public blockchain data
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above; major in computer- and software-related fields; at least 5 years of experience in development, with 1 year in smart contract development experience
Must be proficient in Solidity; C++, Golang, and Javascript are preferred but NOT required
In-depth technical understanding of DeFi protocols and DevOps best practices while interacting with DeFi protocols
Deep understanding about blockchain fundamentals (smart contracts, web3, DAOs).
Interest in and good understanding of both traditional finance and cryptocurrency markets
Good communication and expression skills, teamwork spirit and execution ability.
Have good self-directed learning skills
