Software Program - Prevent it from checking online for Active Account

I have software that you install, and once launched it checks if the username / password is correct. I need to circumvent this process to allow a specific (you can choose), or any username and password to be valid.
The software is built buy a minor company with most likely 10 or less people involved in its development.
The end goal is to use the software, with or without a username and password. Must be clean and will be tested for malicious code.
