Overview:
We are looking to develop a custom Shopify plugin for our authentication platform Authyo,
which provides secure login and registration via OTP, social login, and voice channels. The
plugin must offer a seamless, customizable user experience and flexible configuration options for
store admins.
Core Functional Requirements
1. Multi-Channel Login & Registration Options
The plugin must provide users with the ability to login or register using any of the following
methods:
- SMS (One-Time Password)
- Email OTP
- WhatsApp OTP
- Voice Call OTP
- Social Media Login (Google, Facebook, Microsoft)

2. Country Selection
- When users choose to log in or register via SMS, WhatsApp, or Voice Call, a country
selector dropdown must be provided to auto-append the respective country code to the
phone number.
3. Consent Checkbox with Custom Text (e.g., for privacy policy acceptance)
Admin Configuration Panel
The plugin must provide a settings panel in the Shopify Admin Dashboard with the following
options:
General Settings
- Enable/Disable OTP Login Widget
- Enable/Disable OTP on Registration
- Language Selection for Default Display
Appearance Customization
- Edit Widget Text (custom text fields for heading, button, placeholder, etc.)
- Change Background Color
- Change Font Color
- Set Widget Width and Height
- Logo upload option
OTP Settings
- Set OTP Length (e.g., 4, 6, 8 digits)
- Set OTP Validity Duration (in seconds)
- Set Redirection URL/Page After Successful Login
Analytics Dashboard for login attempts, success rate, and failure reasons
Integration Requirements
- The plugin must be compatible with the latest Shopify Storefront API and Shopify App
Bridge.
- Code must follow Shopify’s App Store Submission Guidelines if intended for public
release.
- Clear documentation and API keys configuration instructions must be provided.
- The plugin should work with both Shopify Online Store 2.0 themes and legacy themes.
