The purpose of this document is to scope out the work required to integrate barcode scanning and label printing into various stages of the order fulfillment process including pickup, delivery, and sorting. This will allow CCL to streamline operations and reduce any missing packages and improve customer experience.
Some of the scanning- rather ineffectively- is done utilizing one of our dispatch and route optimization software Dispatch Science (DS). However, we would like to establish a process outside of DS to standardize the process, understand any limitations with the current process/software and the requirements to scale.
