I'm seeking a Software Architect to help me strategize a smooth migration of our enterprise application from Oracle and VB Dot Net (specifically Visual Studio 2019/2022) to a more modern stack.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive experience in software architecture and planning for large-scale system migrations.
- Proficiency in VB Dot Net, and ideally experience in migrating from this to modern tech stacks.
- Familiarity with Oracle and the challenges associated with migrating from it.
- Strong communication skills to help explain the strategy to our team in a clear and understandable manner.
Your role will be:
- To thoroughly analyse our current system architecture and understand its intricacies.
- To devise a comprehensive migration strategy that minimizes the risk of data loss or downtime.
- To provide a detailed plan with milestones and key deliverables to be met throughout the migration process.
- To be available for consultation and to discuss the strategy with our development team, ensuring they are equipped with all the necessary information.
