I am after something very similar to this. I would be doing it for another sport, not basketball, so it would have different categories. Below is more information.
The website will have a list of approximately 500 players and details on those players including what team they play, their position, their height, etc. The website will randomly select one of these players and the user will have to guess the player by typing the name of one into the game. If the player they guess is from the correct team, the team column will go green. If the players height is close but not correct, it will go yellow. If the players position is incorrect, it will go grey. These three different colours provide information to the user for their next guess. With each guess they aim to get closer to the correct answer and have 8 attempts to get it correct. When they refresh the page, the website randomly selects a player again and the user can play again.
So data of these players will be provided by me. The user will be playing in current session only and on refresh all data will be cleared. There is no user signup and login.
This website will need the capability to be used by thousands of people simultaneously, all with a randomly selected player.
I also require an admin panel so that I can update player information.
