Enhancement of QuickFMS Mail Room Management Module with Courier API Integration
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
We are looking for an experienced .NET developer/team to enhance our existing QuickFMS Mail Room Management Module by integrating it with third-party courier service provider APIs.
Our current module supports parcel booking, dispatch handling, inbound confirmations, courier assignments, employee acknowledgments, and reporting. However, all courier dispatches and tracking updates are currently manual.
Objective:
Integrate our Mail Room Management Module with courier service APIs (via platforms like eShipz, Shiprocket, or direct integrations with Blue Dart, DHL, India Post, etc.) to enable:
Automated shipment creation
Real-time AWB generation and tracking updates
Pickup scheduling
Delivery failure (NDR) status handling
Performance insights and dashboards
Scope of Work:
✅ Courier API Integration
Shipment/dispatch creation
AWB generation and printing
Pickup request scheduling
Real-time tracking updates
NDR (delivery failure) status handling
✅ UI & Workflow Enhancements
Add carrier selection in dispatch screen
Auto-populate AWB, tracking ID, status
Link to courier tracking URL
Visual parcel status indicators (Dispatched, In Transit, Delivered)
✅ Dashboard & Reporting Enhancements
Live status dashboards (carrier-wise tracking)
Delivery performance metrics
Alerts for delayed/failed deliveries
Exportable exception reports
Out of Scope:
Manual courier handling (already supported)
Integration with courier partners that do not provide APIs
SLA enforcement with courier partners
Assumptions:
Courier API provider/platform will be finalized and credentials shared.
Necessary API documentation (keys, endpoints, etc.) will be provided before development.
Existing database schema can be extended for AWB and tracking data.
Deliverables:
API Integration Layer (middleware with selected courier platform)
UI/UX Enhancements in dispatch and tracking interfaces
Dashboard Components for real-time tracking and performance metrics
Notification Setup (automated alerts for delivery status and exceptions)
UAT-ready package
Production deployment with user documentation and training
Estimated Timeline:
API Finalization & Access: 1 week
Development & Integration: 2 weeks
Dashboard & UI Enhancements: 1 week
Testing & UAT: 1 week
Deployment & Training: 3–4 days
Total Estimate: ~5 weeks
Technology Stack:
.NET Framework 4.8
ASP.NET 4.7
SQL Server (existing QuickFMS DB)
RESTful API integration with courier platforms
Required Skills:
.NET Framework and ASP.NET development
RESTful API integration
SQL Server database design/extensions
UI/UX updates in web applications
Experience with courier/shipping APIs is a plus
Please include in your proposal:
Relevant project experience (especially API integrations)
Estimated cost and timeline
High-level approach or plan
Team size (if applicable)
Questions or clarifications needed
We look forward to working with a capable partner to streamline our Mail Room operations through smart API-driven automation.
