Build a Windows Desktop Application
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I have a print shop where I acquire and print .pdf files. I'm looking for a coder to build a Windows Desktop Application that will use product attributes described in a couple .csv files to go out and get products (i.e. pdf files) from various vendor websites.
This project will entail 1) Software Architecture or Design 2) Data processing 3) Web Scraping 4) Adobe Acrobat DC automation using Javascript and, possibly other functions that I may not have thought of. I'm attaching a pdf schematic titled WINDOWS DESKTOP APPLICATION TO AUTOMATE PDF FILE ACQUISITION AND PROCESSING to this project to give you a visual idea of what I'm after. I'm considering this the first phase of the project and only need to have it work for one specific Vendor. In the future, I would like the application to run as many as 3 vendors at a time (please consider it in your design). For now we will only focus on one website to scrape and one related Acrobat Action Wizard.
I'm assuming that vendors will change their websites from time to time and so I ask that this application be designed for ease of modification. All coding should be commented and clear so that, if you are not available, someone else can quickly make necessary changes in the future.
The deliverables here would be the functioning application itself, along with instructions on how to install, use and even transfer to another workstation. Beyond the application, I will need instructions on installing the resulting Action Wizard to my Adobe Acrobat DC Pro application.
