Barcode System for Vehicle Management

I'm currently in need of a system that can effectively link critical information from barcodes scanned off vehicle license discs with relevant data from our existing Excel spreadsheet. The concept is straightforward but the execution will require a nuanced understanding of both scanning technology and system development.
This is how we'd like it to work:
- Our handheld scanning device scans the barcode on vehicle license discs.
- The system then ties this scanned information with the data in our Excel spreadsheet. This is a crucial step, and flawless interaction between the two is a must.
- The system further interacts with our accounting package (we currently use QuickBooks) and processes necessary information.
- The final output is a comprehensive analysis encapsulating vehicle authorization status, financial standing, maintenance scheduling, age analysis on accounts, carried-out services, and driver information based on the data processed.
Experience and Skills:
