Automation Software to Print PDF files based on Email
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have items that I have to print and ship that I sell. I would like to have a script or software that would read incoming email subject. Based on the keywords in the subject of the email the script or software would print a certain file.
I receive email notifications from all my sales and I figured that reading email would be the most futureproof and universal trigger no matter what platform I used to sell on. I sell on more than one.
The subjects of the emails always have the name of the product, but it would be nice if the script or software could read the message. Sometimes I sell more than one item in an order, and may need to read items in the message.
The files are PDFs. They are on a network server, and the printers are on the network as well. I will need for the script or software to have the ability update the printer, because may not always keep the same one. Also there are profiles on the printers that have to be used to print the file a certain way, but I can setup default setting for the printer to follow.
If you can think of a better way for this idea to work, please let me know. I'm technically inclined. The software doesn't even need to have a GUI. An editable script with documentation and a editable database are fine too. Preferably Windows, but Linux is acceptable too.
