An Automation Expert for long-term contract
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
The Candidate should be an expert of Make.com and n8n.
We are looking for a skilled developer to build an integration between SmartSuite and Clockify. The goal is to export time tracking logs from SmartSuite to Clockify, allowing us to track and analyze time spent on various tasks in Clockify. The integration should be able to transfer the following data:
Date of the time entry
Tracked time on that date
Note related to the time entry
User who tracked the time
Requirements:
Experience with APIs: The freelancer should have experience working with REST APIs and be familiar with both the SmartSuite API and the Clockify API.
SmartSuite API: Knowledge of how to access and retrieve data from SmartSuite's time tracking logs for individual records/tasks.
Clockify API: Ability to use Clockify’s API to create time entries based on the data retrieved from SmartSuite.
Data Transformation: You will need to transform the data (date, tracked time, note, and user) into the appropriate format for Clockify, and then use Clockify's API to import these entries into the correct workspace, project, and task.
Error Handling: The integration should include proper error handling to ensure data is transferred accurately and errors are logged.
Automation (Optional): If possible, it would be great if you could automate the process to run periodically (e.g., daily or weekly), so new time entries are automatically transferred to Clockify. Alternatively, we are open to using n8n automation as a solution to create this workflow.
Deliverables:
A working script or integration tool that connects SmartSuite to Clockify via the API or n8n automation.
Clear documentation on how to set up and use the integration.
Error handling and logging in place to monitor and track any issues.
Optional: A method to schedule the integration for periodic synchronization (if using n8n, this could be done via n8n workflows).
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or any other programming language that works well for API integrations.
Familiarity with n8n automation for building workflows without heavy coding is a plus.
Previous experience with SmartSuite or Clockify API integrations is a plus.
Knowledge of automation tools like n8n for scheduling and automating workflows.
