Archicad BIM Window Object (GDL) – Aluminium Window System

We are looking for an Archicad specialist to create a parametric BIM window object.

Software:
Archicad 25 or newer

Object type:
Native Archicad GDL Library Part (.gsm)

The object must work as a standard Archicad window inserted into a wall.

System

Manufacturer: AluK
System: C67K

Object type:
Single sash aluminium window

Opening types

The object must support the following options:

• Fixed
• Turn
• Tilt-Turn

Parameters

Dimensions

• Width (parametric)
• Height (parametric)

Changing width and height must correctly update the geometry.

Opening direction

• Left opening
• Right opening

Glass

• Glass thickness (numeric parameter)

Frame

• Frame depth fixed at 67 mm
• Frame color parameter (RAL or generic color)

Hardware

• Handle visible in 3D
• Hidden hinges only

Bottom frame

The window must include a bottom frame / threshold.
It must not be frameless at the bottom.

3D Geometry

The 3D model must include:

• Frame
• Sash
• Glass

The geometry should visually represent the real C67K system proportions but remain simplified and lightweight.

Do NOT model screws, seals or small internal profile details.

File size

The final object must remain lightweight.

Target size: under 2 MB.

2D Plan Symbol

The plan representation must show:

• Frame outline
• Sash
• Opening direction symbol

The symbol must change depending on the opening type:

• Fixed
• Turn
• Tilt-Turn

BIM Properties

The object must include the following Archicad properties:

• Manufacturer = AluK
• System = C67K
• Width
• Height
• Opening type
• Glass thickness
• Frame color

Parametric behaviour

The object must remain fully functional when width and height parameters are changed.

Example test sizes:

• 800 × 1200 mm
• 1200 × 1400 mm
• 1600 × 1800 mm

Deliverables

• Archicad object (.gsm)
• Test Archicad project (.pln)
• PDF preview showing 2D and 3D

Important

The object must be created using Archicad GDL.

Please do NOT submit objects converted from SketchUp, Rhino or other software.

Future work

If this first object works well we plan to develop a full BIM library for several aluminium window and door systems.
