As we expand, we are looking for a motivated Deal Source Specialist to join our team and play a crucial role in identifying high-potential e-commerce business opportunities.
Role Overview:
As a Deal Source Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to hunt for e-commerce business deals on platforms like Flippa and the Facebook Ad Library. You will engage with potential sellers, gather vital business information, and facilitate introductions to our acquisition team. Your goal is to identify and qualify promising e-commerce businesses that are ready to sell.
Key Responsibilities:
Hunt for Deals on Flippa:
Engage with Sellers: Message sellers on Flippa who are interested in selling but may feel stuck. Approach them as an interested buyer.
Gather Information: Obtain the last 12 months P&L statement, details about the business’s logistical route (e.g., dropshipping, 3PL), and information about active ads.
Transition to Direct Communication: Move the conversation from Flippa's messaging system to email or WhatsApp once you have gathered all necessary data.
Introduce to Dean: After collecting all the required information, introduce the seller to Dean for further discussion.
Source Deals via Facebook Ad Library:
Search for Active Stores: Use the Facebook Ad Library to search for generic terms like 'Pickleball' to find stores running active ads.
Outreach to Owners: Reach out to store owners via email, Facebook message, Instagram message, or any other contact method available on their website.
Sample Outreach Message: "Hey, I love your store. Would you ever be interested in selling your business? I love [insert word you searched for, in this case, Pickleball] and am looking to buy an ecom business. Let me know if you're interested. [Your Name]"
Engage in Conversation: Start a conversation, gather necessary data (P&L, logistics, active ads), and facilitate the introduction to Dean once qualified.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $5 per hour
Bonus: $500 per successfully sold deal
Qualifications:
Strong research and communication skills.
Experience with social media platforms and online business marketplaces.
Ability to verify and understand financial documents.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Previous experience in e-commerce or deal sourcing is a plus.
