Social Media Branding for DJ Prodigy

Job ID: 39382813

Budget: $250 – $750 AUD

Job Description:

We’re looking for a creative and experienced social media and branding specialist, based in Australia, to help position a 16-year-old DJ and producer prodigy as a serious emerging performing artist in the Australian music and festival scene.

He’s already a standout talent – a young prodigy who has:
• Released his own album
• Performed at dozens of live events
• Built a strong grassroots following in the private event space (parties, community events, etc.)

Now, we’re looking to elevate his profile and shift the focus of his online presence from private gigs to music production, performance, and festivals.

What We’re Looking For:

Someone who can:
• Audit his current social media presence (mainly Instagram and TikTok)
• Develop a fresh brand identity and voice for him as a DJ/Producer/Performer
• Create or guide a content strategy (e.g. live gig reels, original track snippets, behind-the-scenes clips)
• Write engaging captions and hashtag sets to speak to the music/festival crowd
• Drive real engagement with venues, artists, promoters, and Australian music communities
• Optionally assist with or advise on cross-posting to platforms like SoundCloud, Mixcloud, or YouTube

Requirements:
• Based in Australia with solid knowledge of the local music and festival scene
• Previous experience working with musicians, DJs, or public-facing creators
• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Reels, and how to grow artist visibility
• A good visual and storytelling sense – you know what kind of content catches attention
• Bonus: familiarity with short-form video tools (CapCut, Canva, Adobe Express, etc.)

Deliverables:
• A clear brand direction and tone-of-voice guide
• Content pillars and weekly/monthly posting plans
• Caption/hashtag strategy
• Suggestions for audience growth and engagement
• Optional: light reporting or metrics

Project Type:
• Start with a 3-month engagement to build direction, with opportunity for longer-term collaboration.

To Apply, Please Include:
• A few examples of music-related or youth-focused creators or accounts you’ve worked on
• A short note on how you’d approach helping a 16-year-old DJ/producer grow in the Australian music space
• Your location, availability, and rates
