About Lane Automotive

Lane Automotive is a premier supplier of high-performance automotive parts and accessories, serving racers, hot rodders, truck owners, off-road enthusiasts, dealers, repair shops, and performance aftermarket businesses. Lane Automotive represents hundreds of leading automotive brands and supports both direct-to-consumer eCommerce growth and B2B dealer engagement across the performance automotive aftermarket.

Position Overview

Lane Automotive is seeking a Paid Social Specialist (Buying) to support our performance marketing and social commerce initiatives. This role will focus on paid social media buying, campaign setup, budget allocation, audience targeting, tracking accuracy, and ongoing performance optimization across Meta Ads, with potential expansion into TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and additional paid social platforms as the program grows.

As the Paid Social Specialist, Buying, you will act as the technical and analytical owner of paid social execution. You will work closely with creative, analytics, eCommerce, product, and marketing stakeholders to ensure that high-quality campaign assets reach the right audiences at the lowest efficient cost while driving measurable performance outcomes.

This role is ideal for a data-first performance marketer who understands technical campaign execution, bidding logic, audience segmentation, retargeting, conversion tracking, and ROAS-focused optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Media Buying & Campaign Execution

Manage end-to-end paid social campaign setup, execution, and optimization, starting with Meta Ads and expanding to other channels as needed.

Build and manage campaign structures, ad sets, targeting, placements, budgets, bids, naming conventions, and tracking parameters.

Support both B2C eCommerce campaigns targeting automotive enthusiasts and B2B campaigns targeting dealers, retailers, repair shops, and performance aftermarket businesses.

Ensure campaigns are launched accurately, tracked properly, and optimized consistently based on performance data.

Technical Optimization

Continuously optimize bidding strategies, budget pacing, audience segmentation, retargeting, placements, and spend allocation.

Identify opportunities to improve ROAS, CAC, CPL, CTR, CVR, conversion quality, and contribution margin.

Work with performance data to determine when to scale, pause, restructure, or test new campaign segments.

Support campaign testing across creative angles, audiences, product categories, landing pages, and offer types.

Tracking & Data Integrity

Own UTM strategy, tracking consistency, campaign attribution, and clean data flow across paid social campaigns.

Work with GA4, Meta Pixel, conversion tracking, CAPI, Looker Studio, and related analytics tools to ensure accurate reporting.

Monitor funnel health and identify tracking gaps, attribution issues, landing page friction, or performance anomalies.

Ensure every click, lead, purchase, and key conversion event is tracked as accurately as possible.

Performance Analysis

Monitor campaign performance daily and identify trends across CTR, CPC, CPM, CVR, ROAS, CAC, CPL, revenue, and lead quality.

Translate campaign data into clear insights, action items, and recommendations for creative, landing pages, audiences, and budget allocation.

Prepare weekly performance updates covering spend, results, optimizations made, testing priorities, and next-step recommendations.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to connect front-end ad performance with eCommerce revenue and dealer lead quality.

Funnel Maintenance & Collaboration

Work with creative, web, eCommerce, analytics, marketing operations, and sales teams to ensure traffic is routed correctly and campaigns support business goals.

Coordinate with creative partners to identify winning ads, request new iterations, and provide data-backed creative direction.

Support landing page testing, product feed alignment, retargeting logic, and conversion pathway improvements.

Help maintain a structured testing backlog for audiences, creative, messaging, offers, and landing pages.

Strategic Collaboration

Act as a strategic peer within the performance marketing pod.

Bring technical insights, scaling opportunities, funnel issues, and paid social learnings into regular performance discussions.

Help shape future paid social strategy based on campaign performance, customer behavior, product demand, and business priorities.

Required Qualifications

2–3+ years of hands-on paid social media buying experience.

Advanced experience with Meta Ads Manager.

Experience managing campaign budgets, retargeting campaigns, audience segmentation, bidding strategies, and conversion-focused paid social campaigns.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, GA4, and performance reporting tools.

Strong understanding of CTR, CPC, CPM, CVR, CAC, CPL, ROAS, revenue attribution, and paid social funnel optimization.

Experience working with creative teams, landing pages, tracking systems, and campaign reporting dashboards.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage clean campaign structure, naming conventions, UTMs, and tracking accuracy.

Ability to communicate performance insights clearly and turn data into action.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in automotive, eCommerce, retail, performance aftermarket, motorsports, truck, off-road, or product-driven businesses.

Experience running paid social campaigns for both B2C and B2B audiences.

Familiarity with TikTok Ads, YouTube Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, or programmatic advertising.

Experience with affiliate commerce, product feeds, catalog campaigns, social commerce, or revenue-share models.

Experience with Looker Studio, Meta CAPI, server-side tracking, Google Tag Manager, or advanced attribution workflows.

Experience using AI tools to support campaign analysis, ad testing, reporting, and workflow efficiency.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: USD $50–$75/hour depending on experience, skill level, scope, and expected weekly workload.

This is an ongoing freelance / contract role with long-term collaboration preferred.

Expected Workload

Initial phase: approximately 15–25 hours per week for audit, setup review, campaign planning, tracking review, and early optimization.
