Help me starting a Gofundme campaign from the beginning
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
A sudden personal emergency has left me facing the very real possibility of losing my home. I want to create a GoFundMe campaign that clearly explains the situation, touches hearts, and motivates support from the general public—not just friends or family. I have never run a crowdfunding effort before, so I need help from the ground up: shaping the story, configuring the page, and planning outreach that can gain real traction.
Here is what I will need from you:
• A compelling narrative (about 500–700 words) that explains the emergency, why housing support is critical, and how donations will be used
• Guidance on the best campaign title, subtitle, and goal amount based on similar successful pages
• Selection or light editing of photos/video that humanize the story (I will supply raw images; basic touch-ups or text overlays may be required)
• Complete page setup on GoFundMe, including rewards or milestones if you believe they will help engagement
• An outreach plan detailing social media posts, email templates, relevant hashtags, and suggested posting schedule for the first 30 days
• Simple tracking sheet or dashboard to monitor donations and donor messages
Acceptance criteria: the GoFundMe link is live and publicly accessible; all written content is approved by me; graphics load properly on mobile and desktop; and the outreach calendar is delivered in editable format (Google Sheets or Excel).
Experience with GoFundMe, Canva, and basic social-media marketing tools is ideal, but clear communication and empathy in writing are most important.
