Title:
Video Editor Needed - 100 High-Resolution Clips from UK Investigative Podcast
Advert:
I need a sharp video editor / social media clip editor to turn a fully edited 90-minute UK investigative podcast episode into 100 high-quality clips.
This is serious public-interest content covering the UK water crisis, sewage pollution, regulators, water companies, infrastructure failure, environmental law, political accountability and financial structures.
This is not a basic clipping job. I need someone who can watch the full episode, understand the arguments, identify the strongest moments, and turn them into clear, high-retention clips.
I will provide the full-resolution master video file. Clips must be created from the master file only. I do not want anyone downloading or clipping from YouTube or using low-resolution source material.
The podcast itself is already fully edited and finished. You are not being asked to rebuild the episode or add heavy visual elements. The job is to identify strong moments, cut them properly, format them for social platforms, add captions, clean hooks, subtle polish where needed, and create thumbnails.
This would suit someone UK-based or someone who properly understands UK politics, media, public affairs and environmental issues.
Deliverables:
80 vertical clips for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels and X
Vertical clips can range from around 20 seconds to under 3 minutes, depending on the strength of the moment
20 landscape clips for YouTube main feed and longer social use, around 3-6 minutes where the content supports it
Each clip should be delivered in:
one version with subtitles
one version without subtitles
For YouTube Shorts, provide an additional export where the first frame functions as a thumbnail, using a strong face, clear hook text and clean framing
Clean, accurate captions/subtitles on all subtitled versions
Strong first-frame hooks for vertical clips
Custom thumbnail images for clips
Suggested title for every clip
Tracking spreadsheet with:
clip filename
suggested title
speaker name
topic
format: vertical or landscape
suggested platform
suggested upload order
hook line / transcript excerpt
Thumbnail requirement:
The editor must also create thumbnail images for the clips. These should use strong stills from the master video, clear facial expressions, bold readable text and a serious investigative style.
Thumbnails must not look cheap, meme-like or exaggerated. They should support the topic of each clip and help make the video clickable while staying accurate.
For YouTube Shorts, the editor should also make sure the first frame of the clip works like a thumbnail, with a strong face, clear hook text and clean framing.
Style required:
Serious, investigative, sharp, clean and credible.
Not meme-style.
Not influencer-style.
No cheesy sound effects.
No fake drama.
No misrepresentation of the speakers.
Light zooms, cuts, tasteful movement and subtle effects are fine, but the content must remain serious and authoritative.
The episode includes legal, political, environmental, regulatory and financial themes. I do not want random loud moments clipped out of context. I need someone who can identify the real substance and turn it into strong, accurate social content.
Accuracy matters. Speaker attribution must be correct. Clips must not distort what is being said.
Please include examples of similar podcast, interview, documentary, current-affairs or political content you have edited.
