Social Media Tech Assistant (Hands-On Setup + Weekly Calls, No “Guru” Stuff)

Job ID: 40078448

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I’m looking for a calm, tech-savvy assistant to help me get set up and consistent with social media and newsletters.

This is not a social media manager role.
I’m not looking for growth hacks, viral promises, or strategy decks.

I want someone who is comfortable with the tech side, can meet with me weekly, and can patiently walk me through things so I can learn and do this myself.

What I’m working on:

- Posting short-form videos on TikTok and Instagram
- Creating a newsletter (Beehiiv or Substack)
- Building the habit of posting consistently and getting reps in
- Talking casually about what’s working for me in business and automations (not teaching, not selling)
- The goal right now is comfort and momentum, not followers or metrics.

What you’ll help with:

- Setting up and organizing accounts (TikTok, Instagram, Beehiiv / Substack)
- Helping me record short videos and get comfortable on camera

Teaching me how to:
- Use green screen
- Add subtitles
- Use CapCut or in-app tools
- Post efficiently without overthinking

Helping me experiment with styles and formats through trial and error
Weekly 1-hour live call (screen share, hands-on)

Being available for occasional Q&A between calls
You are guiding and assisting, not taking over.

What this is NOT

Not a “grow your following” role
Not a viral content role
Not a brand strategist role
Not someone telling me what trends I “should” follow
Not someone promising results
If you’re the type who likes simple systems, reps, and helping someone build confidence step by step, you’ll like this.

Skills I care about

- Very comfortable with social media tools and setup
- Hands-on experience with:
- TikTok / Instagram posting
- Subtitles and basic editing
- Green screen
-CapCut or similar tools
- Beehiiv (important) or Substack
- Patient, clear communicator
- Comfortable teaching, not just doing
- Bonus if you’ve helped someone learn social media rather than run it for them.

Requirements

US-based
Available for a weekly 1-hour call
Hourly availability for Q&A as needed
No ego, no hype, no pressure

To apply

Please answer these questions (short answers are fine):

Have you personally used Beehiiv or Substack? Briefly explain what you’ve done with it.
How do you usually help someone who feels overwhelmed by social media tech?
Are you comfortable teaching step-by-step on live calls while screen sharing?
What tools do you typically use for captions, green screens, and short-form video?
