PR & Social Media Strategist for Documentary
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Social Media & Public Relations Strategist — Documentary Project (Volunteer-to-Paid Growth Role)
Company: Boy Jerry Pictures (BJP)
Project: Eyes in the Sky — A Global Documentary Initiative
Location: Remote
Compensation: Minimal pay at the start; performance-based bonuses and increased pay as the project grows
About the Project
Boy Jerry Pictures is an independent media and production company dedicated to truth, justice, and storytelling that moves the world. Our flagship documentary, Eyes in the Sky, explores global surveillance, human resilience, and the fight for dignity. The project has already reached millions worldwide and gained international recognition — but now we’re building a world-class team to take it to the next level.
This is not an entry-level or short-term gig. It’s an opportunity to be part of something that will make history and potentially reach feature theaters.
About the Role
We’re seeking a Social Media & Public Relations Strategist who can help transform this project into a global movement. You’ll be responsible for:
Developing and executing a comprehensive social media and branding strategy.
Managing and growing multiple social media accounts (Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
Creating and scheduling engaging, viral content that drives awareness and builds a loyal following.
Coordinating outreach campaigns to media outlets, influencers, and human rights networks.
Helping design and implement fundraising and sponsorship strategies.
Collaborating directly with the executive producer to expand the project’s global footprint.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience managing social media for a brand, cause, or film project.
Creative thinker with strong writing and storytelling skills.
Strategic mindset — someone who doesn’t just plan but executes.
Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
Passion for justice, truth, and media that makes a difference.
Available to volunteer significant time in the beginning with the understanding that pay and bonuses will increase as funding and visibility grow.
Important — Please Read Before Applying
This arrangement is not for everyone.
If you are primarily looking for a paycheck, this is not the right project for you.
We are looking for people who believe in the mission and are ready to build with us from the ground up.
To apply, do not send a form reply.
Instead, tell us exactly what you would do differently to grow our reach, strengthen our brand, and attract funding.
Applications that do not include this will not be reviewed.
Why Join Us
You’ll be part of a documentary with global reach and a story that matters.
Your work will directly shape how the world sees truth, injustice, and resilience.
You’ll grow with a project that’s already in motion and making headlines.
You’ll earn performance-based bonuses and future compensation as the project scales.
