Reddit Growth Manager for Digital Service
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
We're an established digital service with a strong product and customer base, but effectively zero footprint on Reddit. We want to change that. We're looking for someone who genuinely understands how Reddit works - its culture, what gets upvoted, what gets you banned - to build and manage our presence there over time.
This is not a "spam links everywhere" job. Reddit punishes that fast (shadowbans, removed posts, hostile mods). We want someone who can grow a real, durable presence that drives awareness and traffic without torching our reputation.
What you'll do:
Identify relevant subreddits where our service is genuinely on-topic, and map out each one's rules around promotion and self-reference
Find active threads and questions where our product is a natural, helpful answer, and write comments that add real value (not obvious ads)
Create original posts and threads that earn engagement on their own merit
Hunt down older threads that still rank on Google or get surfaced/cited by AI tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, etc.) and add useful, well-placed comments there for long-tail visibility
Identify subreddits and formats that tolerate softer/indirect promotion, and tailor approach per community
Build and warm up account credibility over time so contributions land instead of getting filtered
Track what's working (traffic, upvotes, mentions) and report regularly
You should have:
Demonstrable Reddit marketing experience - please share examples, account karma history, or case studies
A real grasp of subreddit etiquette and how to avoid bans/removals
Strong, natural English writing that doesn't read like marketing copy
An understanding of how Reddit content gets picked up by Google and AI search
To apply, tell me: which subreddits you'd target for a service like ours, how you'd approach the first 30 days, and one example of a Reddit campaign you've run.
