Martial Arts Content & Social Media Manager
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
Job Post: Social Media Content Manager (Martial Arts / Self-Defence Focus)
I run a martial arts/self-defence school and an online self-defence course. I need someone long-term to manage my Instagram account in a way that actually grows the business — not just posting random clips.
Responsibilities
Video Editing & Posting
Edit 3–5 short videos per week (I provide raw footage).
Add accurate subtitles, on-screen titles, and branding.
Edit in a style that works for Instagram Reels / TikTok (fast cuts, captions, hooks).
Post 5 times per week with captions written in my tone (casual, direct, no fluff).
Content Strategy & Commenting
Use the Top 100 / Dream 100 Method (outreach to key accounts).
Phase 1 (first 1–2 months):
Find 10 relevant posts per day (5 local Brighton/Hove to improve in person classes, 5 martial arts/self-defence or similar to imrove online course).
Send me a screenshot of each post + a draft comment written in my tone.
I’ll approve/tweak and post myself in this phase.
Phase 2 (after trust is built):
You post 10 comments per day directly (Mon–Fri).
Keep a log of all comments (post link + what you wrote).
Idea Generation & Management
Propose 10–15 video ideas each month based on trends and results.
Tell me what’s working, what’s not, and suggest improvements.
You are the manager — but all new strategies must be run past me before being implemented.
Reporting
End-of-month summary of:
Posts delivered.
Comments made.
Growth/engagement stats.
Non-Negotiables (Read Before You Apply)
You must have experience editing martial arts, fitness, or combat sports content.
You must prove you can comment like a real human. Generic “Great post!” comments will get you cut off.
You need to understand martial arts/self-defence language (palm strike vs punch, sparring vs drilling, etc.).
You must be fluent in English (spelling, grammar, natural flow).
If you use bots, automation, or AI comments, you’re done — no excuses.
You must show me you’ve actually looked at my account.
With your application you must send:
One of my existing videos re-edited in the style of my account (subtitles + on-screen text).
A caption written in my tone.
Example posts you would comment on (local + martial arts) and the exact comments you would leave.
If you don’t provide these, your application won’t be considered.
Deliverables (per month)
20–25 edited & posted videos (5 per week).
200+ comments (10 per day, Mon–Fri — drafted first, then posted directly after Phase 1).
Monthly content idea sheet (10–15 ideas).
Monthly growth tracking report (basic stats on reach, follower growth, engagement).
Payment & Expectations
This is not a “post and ghost” job. I want someone who cares about results.
Be honest about your pricing. Don’t lowball and then under-deliver.
If you deliver, I’ll keep you long-term and increase pay. If you slack off, you’re gone.
