Marketing Assistant (Content, Growth & Community)

You’ll be working directly with an author/brand in the dark romance / online publishing space, helping grow an engaged audience and drive book sales.

This is hands-on. You won’t be watching — you’ll be doing.

What you’ll be doing
• Creating content for Instagram, TikTok & email
• Writing captions, hooks, and short-form copy
• Helping run promotions, launches & reader events
• Engaging with readers (comments, DMs, community)
• Researching trends, competitors, and viral content
• Supporting admin tasks
• Managing and updating WordPress blogs (uploading posts, formatting, basic edits)
• Keeping website content organised and up to date

What I’m looking for:
You don’t need years of experience. You do need the right mindset.

• You’re proactive — you don’t wait to be told everything
• You’re comfortable with social media (especially TikTok/Instagram)
• You write well (short, punchy, engaging)
• You notice what works online and why
• You’re organised enough to handle multiple tasks
• You’re reliable — if you say you’ll do something, you do it
• You’re comfortable navigating basic tools (WordPress or willing to learn fast)

Bonus if:
• You read dark romance
• You’ve created content before (even your own account counts)
• You’ve used WordPress or managed a blog before
