Social Media Manager – Playdate Preschool
Contract / Part-Time Role
Role Overview
The Social Media Manager is responsible for consistently creating, scheduling, and managing Playdate Preschool’s social media presence in a way that reflects our brand, values, and daily life at school. This role focuses on visibility, engagement, and consistency
Core Responsibilities
Content Creation & Posting
• Create and publish 12 curated feed posts per month
(reels, carousels, or photo posts)
• Use trending audio and reel formats when appropriate
• Edit content using Canva, CapCut, or similar tools
• Ensure all content aligns with Playdate’s brand, tone, and aesthetic
Instagram Stories
• Post 3 branded story sets per week (approx. 3–6 slides per set)
• Include:
• behind-the-scenes moments
• classroom activities or crafts
• text overlays / captions
• engagement elements (polls, questions, sliders)
• Stories may use a mix of:
• current content
• previously captured content
• submitted photos/videos
Content Planning & Scheduling
• Create a weekly or bi-weekly content outline at least two weeks in advance
• Schedule posts in advance using a content planner or Meta tools
• Maintain consistency even during school breaks using evergreen content
Brand Voice & Engagement
• Write thoughtful captions that reflect Playdate’s voice
• Use relevant hashtags and light SEO practices
Analytics & Reporting
• Provide a simple monthly analytics summary, including:
• follower growth
• reach / engagement highlights
• top-performing posts
• Share insights and light recommendations (what’s working / what’s not)
Strategy & Communication
• Participate in a weekly or monthly strategy check-in (call or message)
• Suggest ideas, trends, or content opportunities
Workflow Expectations
• This role does not require being physically present with the children
• Content will be created from:
• provided photos/videos
• shared Google Drive folders
• teacher submissions
• past content
Time Commitment (Typical)
• Approx. 8–10 hours per week (more if necessary)
• Flexible schedule, deadline-driven
• Consistency matters more than exact hour
Compensation
• Monthly flat rate OR hourly rate (to be defined)
• Scope and compensation adjusted together if workload changes
