Self-Hosted Company Email Solution
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I have my own domain and a dedicated server and now need a full-featured, self-hosted email system running on that infrastructure. The core objective is straightforward: send and receive mail reliably under my company’s domain without relying on third-party SaaS providers, all while keeping administration firmly in-house.
I’m open to whichever proven stack you recommend—as long as it supports the standard mail protocols (SMTP for sending, plus IMAP and/or POP3 for retrieval), offers a clean interface, and can scale to additional users later. A browser-based front end would be ideal for day-to-day use, but I’ll consider desktop or mobile clients if they integrate smoothly.
Security is non-negotiable. TLS encryption, strong authentication, and basic spam protection must be in place from day one. Beyond that, I’d like user and alias management through an admin panel and clear documentation so future maintenance is simple on my side.
Deliverables should include:
• A fully operational mail server installed on my machine, tied to my domain with correct DNS, MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records.
• Web or recommended client interface configured and branded with our logo.
• Admin guide covering user creation, backups, and routine upkeep.
• A brief hand-off session to walk me through the setup and answer questions.
If you’ve deployed solutions like Postfix, Dovecot, Exim, Zimbra, or similar and can wrap everything with solid security practices, let’s get this running.
