Email Deliverability & Server Expert Needed to Resolve Spamhaus ZEN Blacklisting
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced email deliverability and mail server expert to help us resolve ongoing issues with our outgoing emails being blacklisted by Spamhaus ZEN.
Our server is frequently getting blacklisted, which is affecting our ability to communicate with clients and damaging our domain/IP reputation. We need a professional who can identify the root cause, fix the issue permanently, and help us implement best practices to avoid future blacklisting.
Scope of Work:
Perform a full audit of our email server (SMTP/Postfix/Exim or similar)
Analyze email logs and outgoing email patterns to identify any spam-like behavior
Check and configure proper SPF, DKIM, DMARC, rDNS, HELO, and PTR records
Ensure the server is not an open relay, and that no malware or script is sending out spam
Assist with the Spamhaus ZEN delisting process
Implement email sending rate limits, monitoring tools, and other protective measures
Provide documentation and recommendations to prevent future issues
Requirements:
Proven experience in email deliverability, spam blacklisting resolution, and mail server security
Familiarity with Spamhaus, SORBS, Barracuda, etc.
Deep knowledge of DNS, IP reputation, and SMTP configuration
Ability to communicate clearly and work efficiently
Experience working with Linux-based servers (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS)
Deliverables:
Full diagnostic report of current email setup and issues
Resolution of blacklisting issues (including successful delisting)
Properly configured SPF, DKIM, DMARC, rDNS, HELO, etc.
Implemented monitoring or alerting tools (optional but preferred)
Final report and prevention strategy
