The client is a new athletic apparel company looking for someone to help will all aspects of the design process, from sketching to manufacturing ready design. They are looking for a collaborative process with various design options as well as revisions. The client would prefer a US based designer.
*Competition & Design
The client would like to merge power and functionality with a sexy, feminine feel. They would like their clothes to serve as both workout gear and leisure wear while maintaining integrity in both departments. The client would like to make sure that we do not sacrifice one detail for the other; “sexiness” while lacking functionality or functionality for looks. They are looking for 2-3 designs in each of the following categories: shorts, leggings, sports bras, shirt, and sweatshirt. Competition in this market would include Ryderwear, BuffBunny, Bombshell Sportswear, and Alo Yoga.
*Target Audience
The client would like to target women of all ages. The client is hoping for just enough modesty that it will appeal to women 40+ but still stylish enough to capture the attention of women in their teens-30’s as well. The target consumer will want to feel as if they are “covered’ & controlled while still giving a very feminine and powerful aesthetic.
