Childhood Sketch Birthday Gift
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I have a treasured childhood photo of my mum and my uncle (who sadly passed away recently) that I’d love turned into a heartfelt sketch for her upcoming birthday. The goal is a clean, expressive line-art style—think refined pencil or charcoal rather than fully rendered realism or bold cartoon colours.
Scope
• Work from the single reference photo I will supply privately.
• Deliver one high-resolution digital sketch (minimum 300 dpi, A4 size or larger) suitable for both on-screen viewing and professional printing.
• Light tonal shading is welcome, but the focus should remain on line quality and likeness.
• Minor touch-ups or adjustments after the first draft are included so we can get facial details just right.
Timing
I’m hoping to gift this soon, so a quick turnaround is important—please outline how fast you can move, ideally within the next few days.
What to include when you bid
• A link or attachment showing past work in a similar sketch style.
• A brief note confirming your estimated timeframe.
If you have experience restoring or enhancing old photos before sketching, feel free to mention it—it could really help with the aged reference. Looking forward to collaborating and creating something my mum will cherish forever.
