Process Optimization for Production Efficiency
Budget: ₹75,000 – ₹150,000 INR
I want a seasoned industrial engineer to review my current production line from end to end and uncover the hidden time, motion, and material losses that are capping our throughput. The core goal is clear: optimize the process so we push more units out the door, in less time, with the same—or fewer—resources.
Here is where we stand:
• We already track cycle-times, downtime, and changeover data, but trends are inconsistent and the root causes are still murky.
• Layout, staffing levels, and equipment are largely fixed, so improvements must come from smarter sequencing, reduced waits, tighter work instructions, and data-driven standardisation.
Your mission and deliverables:
• Conduct a detailed process study (value-stream mapping, time & motion, or equivalent) and quantify every bottleneck.
• Present a clear improvement roadmap backed by calculations showing projected gains in output and cost per unit.
• Supply implementation steps—quick wins first, then medium-term changes—and the KPIs I should monitor to verify results.
I am open to Lean, Six Sigma, or any proven methodology as long as the recommendations are practical on the shop floor. Tools such as Minitab, Simio, or even Excel dashboards are fine; just ensure the data story is airtight.
I will consider the project successful once the plan demonstrates at least a 15 % potential uplift in hourly throughput and all assumptions are transparent.
