Role Overview
We seek a Contract Principal Platform Reliability Engineer (PPRE) to lead a comprehensive audit of our a-OK system. You will assess architecture, scalability, resilience, observability, and performance, delivering actionable recommendations aligned with international standards.
Key Responsibilities
Audit & Assessment: Conduct a deep-dive across six pillars: Architecture & Framework Review, Scalability & Load Balancing, Resilience & High Availability, Observability & SRE Practices, Performance Profiling & Optimization, and CI/CD & Automation.
- Standards Alignment: Validate compliance with ISO/IEC 42010, 25010, 27031, CNCF best practices, and Google SRE principles.
- Deliverables: Produce detailed audit reports, gap analyses, and a prioritized remediation roadmap, culminating in an executive summary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the CTO, DevOps, engineering, and product teams; present findings in weekly syncs and a final executive briefing.
- Knowledge Transfer: Document runbooks, architecture artifacts, and best-practice guidelines for ongoing maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years in Site Reliability, Platform, or Performance Engineering roles; proven track record auditing cloud-native systems.
Technical Skills:
- Go (Go Lang) microservices frameworks (Gin, Echo, net/http) and dependency management (Go Modules).
- Flutter performance profiling and front-end optimization.
- Kubernetes (incl. HPA), Docker, Terraform/CloudFormation.
- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, OpenTelemetry.
- Performance tools: pprof, flame graphs, JMeter/Locust.
- Certifications (Preferred): Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Solutions Architect Pro, Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- Soft Skills: Strategic thinker, excellent communicator, standards-driven, and collaborative mindset.
Engagement Details
- Duration: 3 months contract (flexible start date)
- Compensation: Competitive fixed fee (milestone-based payments)
