Fix Issabel NAT Call Drops
Budget: $25 – $50 CAD
I have an Issabel PBX running behind a typical home/office router. Calls from outside to remote extensions are just fine, but the calls between remote extensions drop after 6 seconds with a "normal remote hangup" error. There is no corporate firewall or customized router rule set in place—everything is stock—yet something is clearly preventing the session from staying alive.
I need a VoIP-savvy engineer to jump in, trace the SIP dialogue, and apply the right settings in Issabel (Asterisk) so calls stay connected. You will likely review the external/internal IP declarations, RTP port ranges, registration strings, and any sip_general_custom.conf overrides, test with Wireshark or the Asterisk CLI, and then verify two-way audio on multiple inbound and outbound scenarios.
Deliverables:
• Corrected configuration applied remotely, with calls staying up for at least 10 continuous minutes on repeated tests
• A brief change log or screenshot set so I can reproduce the fix after future updates
If you have solid experience troubleshooting NAT issues on Issabel/FreePBX or straight Asterisk, I’m ready to give you access via SSH or a screenshare right away.
